Well, I had my eyes tested today. I thought I was going to get spanked by the doc for waiting eight years. But, after it was all said and done, my eyes had not changed a bit in all that time! Amazing!
I also got the new sunglasses delivered. Now I just have to wait for the insert lenses to be made up...

Over 18 months ago, I had a serious bike crash. One of the casualties was my nice pair of Bolle sunglasses, which snapped clean in two at the bridge. I managed to glue them together with superglue, but that stuff has a pretty poor shear factor, and the other day they broke again. It's time to get some new glasses.
So today I ordered a pair of Rudy Project Kerosene glasses, and tomorrow I'm going to go get my eyes done for a new prescription. It has been ages since I have had that done. Gee, I'm slack. Oh and Nick, if you're reading this? If you call these glasses ugly, I'm gonna make you eat them *grin*

Recently, I have been working on modifying a C program to log IRC channels. As I have only been working on it in my spare time, it has taken a considerable length of time to make it do what I wanted it to do. Today, I finally got it running. I'm sure that it will take a few more tweaks to make it bulletproof and, as I didn't write the original code, I can still see a myriad of things that could be improved in it. But it did produce the first comprehensive log. Finally!

I picked up two laptop computers for nothing today. They are slow machines, but I will use them to churn out a few more SETI units per day. One machine is missing a power supply, so I will have to get that happening first.
