Just recently, someone was talking about guitars on the IRC channel I frequent. It got me thinking about missing my strat, so I started looking at reasonably priced guitars. Unfortunately, I had sitting on my coffee table a rather comprehensive catalogue from a pro audio company, having just got the monitors from them.

So I made the fatal mistake of looking though it and happened across Brian Moore guitars. Drool. Far more than what I wanted to pay though.

But they were so nice I decided to go and have a play of one, which I did last weekend.

And I looked on e-bay. And there was the model I wanted. And at a very reasonable price (if it didn't go up). Which it didn't, and I won it. hehe.

Not too much in here of late. It's been fairly quiet. One thing of note is that my priority date for my green card seems to have been processed. So maybe I will see a notification to get the all important stamp in my passport shortly.

I have been admiring Christmas lights around the place. One of the apartment blocks here has gone out and strung them everywhere...

Home this weekend as I am on call both days. I did sneak out for a three mile bike ride though. I had to get some N-sized batteries for my bike's tail light. I am willing to risk the pager going off if the trip to the supermarket saves me from getting hit by a car on the way home in the dark tomorrow night.

Also over the weekend, I received a package from my parents containing lots of Christmas goodies. I've asked them to stop doing that as it's far too expensive to send stuff here, but they won't listen. And as I know it gives them pleasure, I won't complain too hard. They are far too good to me.

Merry Christmas, Mum and Dad. Wish I could be there again this year. Here's hoping for next year.
