I went out for a ride this morning to downtown Sacramento and back. I haven't done that for a couple of weekends due to work pressures, etc.

As I was awake really early, I left just as the sun was coming up. Riding at this time of the morning is the best. You have the trail to yourself except for the wildlife and a few other keen cyclists.

This morning, I saw two - count them - two coyotes, three deer, a couple of jackrabbits, and of course the ubiquitous squirrels. I find it pretty amazing that the parkway, while over 20 miles long, is able to support large animals like coyote and deer. There are even signs up warning about mountain lions (!) I need to get a photo of one of those signs one day. Noone in Sydney believes me.

We knocked off work early today to go and see Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. It was a pretty good movie. Hayden Christensen is an OK actor when the only emotion he has to do is anger.

The visual effects were completely over the top, as has come to be expected from the previous two movies.

All in all, it was a fairly satisfying movie, nicely tying the two sets of movies together. When this episode releases on DVD, I'll probably get the entire set so I can sit down on a long weekend and watch them one after the other.
