As promised, I got out on the bike this morning. An easy 20 km ride with only one minor hill. I have to take my time and get used to the Sydney traffic conditions again.

The biggest problem I have is the years in the USA have conditioned me to turn my head over my left shoulder to see what's coming up behind. Of course, this is fine for the States when you are riding on the right hand side of the road. In Australia, were we ride on the "right" side of the road (that is, the left hand side ;) I have to look over my right shoulder. And that didn't want to happen this morning.

So I shall be taking it easy until I get used to it again.

OK, I admit it, I've been terribly lazy when it comes to riding my bike since my decision to return to Australia last year. Tomorrow it's over. I swear I'll ride tomorrow and update this entry with the distance I do...
