Sometimes, things just work. I was wondering what to have for dinner tonight, and it hit me that I hadn't done the old steamed fish in the oven thing for ages. For all of you that don't know, this trick is a classic.

Get a nice piece of firm white fleshed fish, like ocean perch, and a bunch of vegetables of your choice. I like red peppers, green beans, and thinly sliced fennel. Lay down a large piece of aluminium foil, and place the fish and veg down, and hit it with some salt and freshly cracked black pepper. Place a nice hunk of butter on top, and fold the foil into a package, sealing it up all around the edges. Cook in a 215 C oven for about 10 to 15 minutes.

It doesn't get a lot better than this. Drool, drool, drool.

The 2007 Tour de France starts tonight. There are a number of aussie riders in the field this year, including Michael Rogers, Stuart O'Grady, Cadel Evans, Robbie McEwen, Simon Gerrans, and Brett Lancaster.

SBS, a free to air TV station here in Australia, is carrying live coverage and highlights of the race. Woohoo!
