OH NO! I've just discovered that 20th Century Fox have completed a movie to be released in 2008 based on one of the better science fiction books - and one of my personal favourites - "Jumper", by Steven Gould.
And it only gets worse: Hayden Christensen to play an emotionally and physically abused 17 year old with morality problems? The mind boggles...
Oh and forget that the movie plot has little or nothing to do with the plot of the book. I doubt I'll be hurrying to see this one.

Have to write more. Therefore, I'll tell you about the film I saw today. An adaption of Stephen King's short story "1408" starring John Cusack and Samual Jackson. Pretty good for a horror. It certainly borrowed from "House on Haunted Hill", which is an all time classic.
You never see the ghost/monster, but you get freaked out anyway. Not a bad flick, if a little predictable. I'd rate it three out of five.

It's been a long time since I've written anything here as not a lot is happening that's worth writing about. However, an event yesterday warrants recording...
I was putting the garbage out last night when I noticed that someone had dumped a bed head and bed footer next to the building. I looked at the bed head, because I've haven't had one for a long time, and this one was quite interesting.
It was made out of solid timber by an Australia company called DIM Furniture, and was from their "Flinders" collection. The selling point, however, was when I noticed that the previous owner also likes stylized Japanese rabbits. It had a rabbit and waves sticker on it!
Obviously, I was meant to have it, so I took it in and cleaned it up. It looks rather good behind my bed.
